Open Space Sierre
This project brings out the unsuspected potential of a place originally ordinary and strictly compartmentalised. The walls of these former service rooms (laundry, storage, technical spaces, etc.) are demolished, the space is reorganised, and a generous area comes into being.
The new office thus adopts the open-space concept to offer a pleasant working environment conducive to collaboration. The conference room, by contrast, offers a more intimate setting while favouring a direct relationship with the surrounding forest landscape.
The new premises take on a pared-down character that serves as a canvas for multiple uses, lending them a valued flexibility. They remain calm and timeless so that employees can make the space their own. The walls can therefore fill with physical traces of work as needed — notes, documents, calendars — which can also be concealed by a curtain neatly recessed into the ceiling.
The operation thus consisted of transforming a place whose qualities were hard to perceive into an elegant living space ready to be appropriated by all kinds of professional activities.
